Mission and statute
The EAA was found by the EKHN in 1946 in response to the break with civilisation
caused by the Nazism. It is an independent place of dialogue and civilized
argument in the Federal Republic of Germany.
The EAA contributes to religious, cultural and sociopolitical discussions. It
particularly picks up questions that result from the complexity of urbane
living.
In these dialogues the EAA is bound to the story between God and men that is
described in the bible and it updates the jewish and christian-protestant
tradition:
God searches men, delivers his good message and encourages them to live.
The EAA enables people involved in the educational process to enhance their
social-ethical power of judgement, professional decision-making and
responsibility and cultural perception.
The EAA is a platform of exchange, laboratory for political concepts, promoter
for social innovations and shows therein Christian thinking. With it’s
experiences and offers it participates in structuring the success of the church’s public mission.
